Swag Store is a site about Australian camping and the wildlife you share it with. The name throws people, so let’s sort that out up front: the swag in question is the canvas bedroll, not promotional t-shirts. If you arrived here hunting for conference merch, I can only apologise. It’s snakes from here on.

I’m Mark. I camp and fish around Australia, and I write about the wildlife you meet doing both.

The wildlife guides run from snakes and spiders to sharks and crocs, and they lean hard on the part that matters in the field: what the animal is likely to do, and what you should do back. Around them sit the practical guides, covering swags and camping gear, campsites and hiking, fishing, outback safety, and bush tucker.

Gear advice follows one rule here: nothing gets recommended until it has survived a real trip.
