True Blue Swags was originally Walter’s side business to his day job. It started with him selling swags from the back of his station wagon and eventually it grew into a huge success. In fact, True
Blue Swags is now one of the largest Australian swag suppliers in the country. They are known for their high quality swags.
True Blue Swags also makes camping equipment, such as tents, sleeping bags and airbeds in addition to the light-weight swag.
They have stores across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania.
The True Blue Swags factory is in Caboolture, Queensland which is north of Brisbane.
True Blue Swags has won many awards over the years including the Retail Business Award in 2012 and the ARA – Outdoor Product of the Year – Small Business Award in 2011.
The owner, Walter, says he still works at his day job to this day because “the company needs a steady hand”.
He says that True Blue Swags may be his side business but it is also his baby.
In 2012, True Blue Swags was ranked as Australia’s top outdoor retailer by Australian Reader’s Choice Awards.
In 2015 they were named as one of Australia’s top 20 exporters by Austrade.
True Blue Swags is probably best known for their quality swags and their excellent customer service. Customers also like True Blue Swag’s variety of options; they sell everything from single swags to family-sized swags and even an option for pet owners.
